The objective of the Strategic Plan of Jahjaga Foundation is to lay the ground of action for the next five years and to put forward its strategic objectives. The methodology and the main tool of our work is creating partnerships on the ground and in municipalities outside the capital city, as well as cooperating with other structures of the civil society, be it formal or informal.
Our approach aims at combining these measures through political, economic and social empowerment of women and youth, while we simultaneously see these groups as indispensable social actors with regard to establishing security and regional cooperation/dealing with the past. On the other hand, the involvement of women and youth in security and regional cooperation necessarily entails their political, economic, and social empowerment. Therefore, these areas are interconnected and engagement in one field serves toward the empowerment of the other.
The aim of Jahjaga Foundation’s strategy is also to encourage debate and discussion around our areas of engagement. There are plenty of organizations and actors that are already engaged in these areas and that have done an important and invaluable work. In this respect, strategic advocacy and mobilization around common causes in close cooperation with our partners shall be our method of action.
