About the JWPSI Fellowship
The Jahjaga Women Peace and Security Institute (JWPSI) is a dedicated institute on security and defense within the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) framework, established under the Jahjaga Foundation. Rooted in the political context and historical legacy of Kosovo and the Western Balkans, JWPSI addresses the urgent need for inclusive peace and security solutions in the region.
Today, JWPSI is actively advancing critical analysis, expert engagement, and the strengthened participation of women in the peace and security sectors in Kosovo, the region, and globally. We do this through cutting-edge research, capacity building, and international collaboration—enhancing the understanding of gender dynamics in conflict and peacebuilding, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and contributing directly to conflict prevention, resilience, and sustainable peace.
As part of its mission to advance the WPS agenda, JWPSI established the Knowledge Hub and research-based platform for WPS topics, policy advocacy, and resource development that reflects field realities and lived experiences.
Fellowship Focus: The Knowledge Hub
Fellows will work closely with the JWPSI Knowledge Hub, contributing to research and writing on key Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) topics, including gender-based violence, women’s participation in peace processes, protection in conflict, and post-conflict recovery, core areas outlined in UN Security Council Resolution 1325.
