The Jahjaga Women, Peace, and Security Institute (JWPSI) was established to advance the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda through research, advocacy, and capacity building. In 2024, JWPSI worked to make significant impacts toward promoting women’s roles in peacebuilding and security.

  • Enhancing Research Capacity

    • Published two new research papers through the WPS Knowledge HUB, providing evidence-based insights to support policy advocacy and community engagement. o Continued to build research capacity with the support of a dedicated team, including two researchers and a Head of Research.
  • Capacity Building and Education

    • Delivered a comprehensive WPS workshop, engaging 10 women in targeted training and dialogue to enhance their leadership skills in peace and security contexts.
    • Finalized and launched one new e-learning course on WPS, expanding access to resources for women leaders and advocates.
  • Strengthening Advocacy and International Collaboration

    • Published an edition of ZA Magazine focused on the WPS agenda, featuring powerful stories from 19 women leaders and a special message from HRH Maria Teresa, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg.
    • Launched the WPS podcast, highlighting the experiences of women who were on the frontlines during the war in Kosovo and their ongoing contributions to institutional development.
