
About JWPSI
The Jahjaga Women Peace and Security Institute (JWPSI) is a newly established institution under the Jahjaga Foundation, committed to advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in Kosovo and the wider region. Through training, policy engagement, advocacy, and convening, JWPSI works to foster inclusive leadership, gender equality, and sustainable peace.
About the Leadership Program
JWPSI is launching its annual Leadership Program for Young Professionals, aimed at empowering emerging changemakers committed to peacebuilding, inclusive governance, and gender justice. The program will offer a unique platform for leadership development, cross-sector collaboration, and engagement with national and international peace and security actors.
This year’s edition will include:
- A 6-day training program for around 40 young professionals from security institutions and academia,
- Training will be designed and delivered by two selected experts,
- Sessions will be interactive and participatory, combining capacity-building, mentorship, and policy engagement.
To lead the design and delivery of the Leadership Program, JWPSI is seeking two qualified Expertswith a strong background in leadership development, program design, and the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
Main Responsibilities
The selected experts will work collaboratively with the JWPSI team and each other to:
- Co-develop the concept, objectives, and structure of the Leadership Program.
- Design an engaging curriculum aligned with inclusive leadership and peacebuilding.
- Serve as trainers and facilitators during both 3-day training sessions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to participants throughout the program.
- Support the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Contribute to the drafting of concept notes, training agendas, and final program reports.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for creative and committed individuals who are:
- Experienced in designing and delivering leadership or educational programs,
- Culturally sensitive and diplomatic, with strong communication skills,
- Collaborative, yet capable of managing independent tasks,
- Passionate about gender equality, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Political Science, Leadership, Peace and Security, Gender Studies, International Relations, Education, or a related field
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Youth leadership development,
- Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda,
- Civic engagement and democratic participation,
- Conflict transformation and peacebuilding,
- Gender equality and social inclusion.
- Program Development: Proven experience designing leadership or training programs, with strong curriculum development skills.
Preferred Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in civil society, academia, international organizations, or public institutions,
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation, training, or mentoring,
- Familiarity with the sociopolitical context of Kosovo and the Western Balkans,
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams,
- Prior public speaking or workshop delivery at high-level events is a plus.

- A one-page concept note outlining proposed strategies for shaping and delivering the Leadership Program,
- A financial proposal for 5 working days per trainer (in EUR, gross),
- Examples of previous relevant work in designing and/or delivering similar programs.
